1. Who we are & scope
Verified Market Intelligence (“VMI”, “we”, “us”) is the market-intelligence platform of Verified Market Research. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We design for compliance with the GDPR (EU/UK), the CCPA (California) and India’s IT Act, 2000.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account & contact details — name, email address, company, phone number, and anything you write in a form or to our analysts.
- Order details — the reports you buy and the scope you configure. Card numbers are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and never touch our servers.
- Research context — the markets you search and the reports you build. We treat these as confidential business information.
Information collected automatically
- Browser type, device and operating system, referral source, and the pages you view — gathered via cookies and standard server logs.
- IP address, which we treat as personal data where the law does.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the services you request — building reports, processing orders, sending receipts and sign-in codes.
- To answer your inquiries and provide analyst support.
- To notify you about changes to services you use, and to send reminders about reports you started (you can opt out any time).
- To improve the platform — understanding which features are used and where visitors struggle.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone — and your research topics are never used to train public AI models or shared with third parties.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: contract (delivering what you bought), legitimate interest (platform improvement, fraud prevention, reasonable business communication), consent (marketing where required — withdrawable at any time), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
5. Sharing & disclosure
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the platform — payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Amazon SES), and cloud hosting (AWS) — each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where required by law, court order or subpoena, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
6. Cookies
We use a small set of cookies for sign-in sessions, security and understanding how the site is used. The full list, purposes and your controls are in our Cookie Policy. Our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies before any are set.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: account data for the life of your account; order and invoice records for as long as tax law requires; support conversations for up to 24 months. Data associated with a closed account is deleted or irreversibly anonymised within 365 days of closure, except where law requires longer.
8. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to access, correct, update or delete your personal information, to export it in a portable format, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to opt out of marketing. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Security
We protect your data with technical and organisational safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, single-active-session sign-in, and rate limiting against abuse. We review these measures regularly. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Children
Our services are for business use and not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
We operate globally; your data may be processed in the United States, India and the EU. Where data leaves a protected region, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-product notice before they take effect.
